Ease, Built In
A dream playground for kids
The pool flows around the house, with shallow spots for the little ones and room to splash and float for hours. There’s a whole pavilion just for kids, plus games, hammocks, and beach access steps away. No need to drive anywhere. They can run barefoot from room to room, and you don’t have to worry.
Quiet mornings, real rest
You can drink your coffee in peace, nap in the afternoon, or sneak away for a massage. We can bring in a chef, stock the fridge, or arrange a babysitter so you can go out for dinner. You won’t need a vacation after this vacation.

Design that breathes
Al Suave House began with a shared vision between Mateo, the owner, and the architects he brought together: José Roberto Paredes from Cincopatasalgato and Paula Cabrera Gil from Pepe Cabrera Homes in Spain. After years of exploring Central America, Mateo fell in love with El Zonte and wanted to build a home that felt natural, grounded, and open:, a place where family could reconnect without feeling rushed and where everything had its place.
Together, they designed a house that responds to the land, with a layout that moves with the terrain rather than against it. A river-like pool flows through the center, wrapping around old trees and connecting every part of the house with quiet intention. There are places to gather and just as many spots to be still, encouraging a slow rhythm and an easy flow between indoors and out.

How do we get there and what’s the arrival process?
We’re located on Playa El Zonte, about a 45-minute drive from San Salvador International Airport. We can arrange private transfers to and from the house. Once booked, we’ll send you a welcome packet with all arrival instructions and contact info. Check-in starts at 3 PM, and check-out is at 11 AM.
When’s the best time to visit?
El Zonte is warm year-round, with sunshine most of the year. Dry season (November to April) offers clear skies and calm seas with a wide, expansive beach in front. Green season (May to October) brings short afternoon showers, but also quieter beaches and vibrant landscapes. The ocean is more hospitable to swimming during the dry season.
What ages work best for your activities?
Most of our activities are great for kids 3 and up. Surf instructors work with children starting at age 4, using gentle beginner waves nearby. The pool and kids’ pavilion are perfectly suited forto younger ones, while older kids and teens tend to love the climbing nets, beach bonfires, and more active excursions.
What’s the layout of the house?
There are five bedrooms: three king rooms and two rooms with three twin beds each. One of the king rooms can be converted into two twin beds upon request. All have en-suite bathrooms and AC. The house includes a TV lounge, garden terraces, indoor-outdoor kitchen, a pool that flows through the property, and plenty of shaded lounge spots.
Do families like ours stay here?
Yes. Most of our guests are families who value privacy, good design, and time together. We’ve hosted families from New York, San Francisco, Madrid, and Mexico City. Some come back every year. We are happy to connect you in touch with past guests willing to share their experience.
Can I get help with groceries and meals?
Yes. We can pre-stock the kitchen before you arrive, coordinate a local chef for your stay, or suggest nearby restaurants, some that deliver to the house directly. You can eat in the garden, by the pool, or by the sea. We’ll help make meals feel easy.
Is there Wi-Fi? What’s the setup for remote work or school?
Yes. We use Starlink high-speed internet, reliable enough for video calls and remote school or work. There are quiet spots throughout the house where you can plug in and take a call if needed.
What about laundry?
Daily laundry service is available upon request. Just leave your items with housekeeping, and they’ll take care of the rest. You are also welcome to use the onsite wsaher/dryer.
