Coffee Nook

Tucked in the far right corner of the open kitchen, a gentle push on the cabinet reveals one of the house’s best-kept secrets: your private coffee ritual station.

What’s Inside
We’ve equipped the nook with three methods to brew your perfect cup:
- French Press – Classic and reliable. Add your grounds, pour hot water, steep, and press.
- Pour Over (Chemex-style) – Use the metal filter above the glass carafe for a clean, bright cup. No paper filters needed.
- Stovetop Kettle – Heat your water on the induction stove. The built-in thermometer helps you hit the sweet spot (around 195–205°F, marked as “Coffee”).

We also provide freshly ground Salvadoran beans, so you’re ready to go without grinding, though a manual grinder is available if you want to get hands-on.

Cups Worth Noticing
In the drawer below, you’ll find a curated mix of:
- Locally handcrafted ceramics – made by artisans in El Salvador.
- Mateo’s personal favorites, including one from Merendero El Teco, a beloved El Zonte institution that holds a special place in our story.
Pick your favorite, and settle in.
